Local. sustainable. collaborative.

est. 2018

Farming is our life, flowers are our passion, and the environment is our focus. We are a small flower farm based in Poolesville, MD just inside the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve. We started growing flowers in 2018. We didn’t know that two years later we would be so passionate about flowers that we would change the course of our careers, our home and our future. We are proud to bring organic flowers to our local community and see them become an important part of special moments and celebrations.

Our Poolesville farm was a blank slate when we moved here in February 2022. Since then we have been working hard to make it a welcoming space so that fellow farmers, floral designers, gardeners, students and flower enthusiasts alike can do more than buy flowers from us; they can have an experience and learn while they’re here.

Why Grateful Gardeners?

A new generation of consumers is beginning to ask the question, “where do our flowers come from?” Unfortunately, the answer is that most flowers sold in the U.S. are not grown here. Our goal is to educate our community about that and promote a return to a local supply chain for flowers; a system where you can meet the farmer that grows your flowers, just like you can meet the farmer that grows your food.

Our 32 acre slice of heaven

We haven’t been on our new property long, but we’ve built a strong infrastructure to help support our plans to expand.

Do you know where your flowers come from? You might be surprised by the answer and why it’s so important.
